Death Notice (Cape Archives) says he was born in St.Margaret's, Leicester

Thomas son of William and Martha BILSON born April 5th 1794 baptised April 7th in St.Margaret's, Leicester

 

Thos. BILLSON married Jane CURTIS of Lutterworth by banns on 1st January 1815 in St.Margaret's, Leicester

Both made their mark

Winesses: Rich'd STRINGER and Thos. HEAP

 

The Settler Handbook lists Thomas's wife as Mary, but her Death Notice (Cape Archives) gives her name as Jane.
