Marriage Licence of Parents:

Know all Men by these Presents that we Joseph DALE of the Parish of St.Mary's White Chapel in the County of Middlesex, Gentleman, are hereby bound unto the Right Reverend Father in God, Richard, by Divine Permission Lord Bishop of London in the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be paid to him the said Right Reverend Father in God, or his lawful Attorney, Executors, Successors or Assigns; For the good and faithful payment of which Sum we do bind ourselves, and both of us, jointly and severally, for the Whole, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, firmly by these Presents, Sealed with our Seals, Dated the 10th Day of July in the Year of Our Lord 1775. The Condition of this Obligation is such that if heareafter there shall not appear any lawful Lett or Impediment by reason of any Pre-Contract, Consanguinity, Affinity, or any other lawful Means whatsoever; but that Joseph DALE Batchelor and Caroline RAWLE Spinster may lawfully solemnise Marriage together.........

 

Joseph DALE and Caroline RAWLE were married by Licence on 11 July 1775 in St.Mary's, Whitechapel

Christopher DALE son of Joseph and Caroline was baptised on 19 July 1787 in St.Marylebone (born 25th June)

 

 

Christopher DALE Esquire of this parish, Bachelor, and Elizabeth WARD of the Parish of St.Luke Chelsea in the County of Middlesex, Spinster, were married by Licence by and with the Consent of John WARD the natural and lawful father, on 20 July 1809 in St.Marylebone Church.
