Honorable Sir,
                 Being desirous of going to the Cape of Good Hope and having an Uncle that has been settled in that Colony for some years it is likely that I may do well if I could get there. But being in humble circumstances and at present out of Employ should be glad to be informed if I could obtain my Passage to that Colony from England by any Grant or allowance of a Passage by the authority of any Government Office. Your information will be thought of in the greatest consequence and acknowledged with gratitude by Your Humble Servant
