Post Card Collection
There are some lovely old post cards in this album. We are hoping to expand this collection - especially the South African section.
The post cards were donated by Vic Lindeque, Glynis Millet-Clay, Jean Marie Mann, Hermien du Plessis, Bill Weidner, Caroline de Bruin, Ann Tiran, Patricia Frykberg, Colin Pretorius, Tobie de Villiers, David van der Merwe, A van Breda, Peet Schabort, Arnoldus Bestbier, Christine van Niekerk, Petro Gertenbach, Susan Barnard, Yvonne Johnson, Gertjie Wolmarans, Rita van Vuuren and Talitha Loftie-Eaton.
For more information about the collection from the specific contributors - go to COMMENTS.
Please contact Daan Botes at botesster@gmail.com should you have some post cards to contribute. We only need a scanned copy - not the original!
Click on the pictures to enter the albums or view the postcards - for many there are two sizes, selectable from the small drop down list in the top right hand corner when viewing the postcard.

Some of these were damaged when I received them - someone was obviously a philatelist, and cut off/steamed off/removed the stamps off some of the cards, not only making it impossible to determine dates sent, but also
damaging some of the cards.
Most of these come out of a collection that came down the family line. Most of the cards were sent to one of my Boshoffs, Bessie (Elizabeth Louisa)Boshoff (*12.10.1890), who resided variously at the farms Fonteintje,
Boshoffshoop and Verfkraal near Reddersburg and Edenburg in the old O.R.C,as well as to "in-laws" Bender of the farm Vierfontein near Gum Tree. Station, also in O.R.C. She was my aunt.
