The Bible (we don't hava a publication date) appears, from the inscriptions, to have had its blank fly leaf pages decorated and inscribed with the family register in 1876, probably by William Peters, whose name with date appears at the foot of the first decorated page, Gedachtenis van onze dierbaare ouders, for Theunis Jacobus Nel and his wife Anna Margrita Susanna Dreyer. It looks, too, as though there were (or perhaps are) at least one more of these inscribed pages, perhaps at the back of the book, since the last we have, that before the title page, ends 'te Krugersdorp, Trans- '

This bible is lodged in the Queenstown Museum and the photogrphs were donated by Trysie Joubert.
