Robert Henry , always known as Harry, was the 5th and last child of the union of James Gazley (1831 – 1908) and Sarah Mack (born Gordge 1841 - 1903).
Their children were:
Arthur (1860-1902) married Lizzie Rockey
Harriet (1863– 1949) married Thomas Birkett
George Ward (1863-1948) married Martha Alice ?
Alice (1868-1937) married George Pardy
Robert Henry (1869-1968) married Charlotte Emma Humphrey
Harriet, Alice and Robert are buried at Isipingo, George is buried in West Street Cemetery Durban.
Research has shown that Robert Henry was born in 1869 and did not quite reach 100 years.
The parents of Robert Gazley Mack (Sugar Pioneer) were John Mack of Norfolk England and Hannah (born Gazley). The Gazley thus appears often as the sons’ second name.
