We now know for sure that the two WRIGHT old people were buried in the Verkeerdevlei cemetery WITHOUT headstones. An elderly family member has confirmed that the family could not afford headstones when the couple both died in 1944, only days apart. I consider the headstone on their daughter's (BEZUIDENHOUT Carolina Embrensia nee WRIGHT 1902-1930) grave to be representative of her parents as well: Willem Lambert WRIGHT, * Prins Albert 2 Jan 1865 + Abt 13 Nov 1944; and Cornelia Christina BREYTENBACH * De Wetsdorp Abt 1861/64 + Abt 9 Nov 1944. Note that the father's name does appear at the botoom of the daughter's gravestone. The date mentioned there (1853) is a mystery.
