Edward DRIVER married Ann ROBINSON by licence on 13 November 1794 in St.Wilfrid, Kelham, Nottinghamshire

[ROBINSON given as middle name of one of Edward DRIVER's sons at the Cape]

[On the same page of the register is a marriage between John ROBINSON of South Muskham and Hannah DRIVER of Kelham on 12th November 1793, witnessed by Robert DRIVER. The signature of John ROBINSON matches that of the witness at Edward DRIVER's wedding]

 

Edward son of Edward and Ann DRIVER baptised 8 March 1797 in St.Wilfrid, Kelham, Nottinghamshire

 

Edward DRIVER senior, the father of the settler, was the son of Robert and Hannah DRIVER and was baptised on 10 December 1769 in Kelham, Nottinghamshire.

Robert the bastard son of Robert DRIVER and Hannah TUSHTIN was baptised March 14th 1765 in St.Matthew, Normanton upon Trent, Nottinghamshire.

Robert DRIVER of Kelham and Hannah TUSTINE of the Parish of Thurlby in the County of Lincoln were married in the Parish Church of Kelham by Licence granted by the Rev. Mr. WADE this 8th day of November 1768

Robert DRIVER buried St.Wilfrid, Kelham, Nottinghamshire on 7th February 1804, aged 72

 

Ann DRIVER, nee ROBINSON, the mother of the settler, was baptised on 19 October 1773 in South Muskham, Nottinghamshire, the daughter of Thomas and Ann ROBINSON. Her brother John was baptised on 18th October 1771.
