Death Notice (Cape Archives) for William Samuel OWEN says his father was William OWEN. [NB the father of Thomas and William Samuel OWEN was William, not the Rev.John OWEN of Fulham as suggested in The Settler Handbook. The letter by John OWEN says his son was 18 and living in Bremen]

[Elizabeth's elder sister Judy Ann was baptised in St.George's in 1779 and later married William Samuel OWEN]

 

James SPENCER of this parish and Mary NEWPORT of the parish of Paddington, a minor, were married by Licence with the consent of John NEWPORT, the natural and lawful father of the said minor, on 17th October 1775 in St.George's, Hanover Square.
