Body Discovered 200 Yards from Frost Street
Revolver Bullet Wound
 
A report was received after lunch to-day that the body of the missing man had been found.  It is stated that Mr. DE WET's body was discovered by members of the search party this afternoon, in the veld between Frost Street and Long Hill, about 200 yards from the fence on the north side of Frost Street and opposite the gate that leads to the Rifle Range.  It is not known how long Mr. DE WET had been dead.  There was a revolver bullet wound in the heat, it is understood.

A well known and respected Aliwal North figure passed away yesterday after a few month's illness-Mr. John Alexander Park, of the Balmoral Hotel, Aliwal North.  The late Mr. PARk came to the Cape Colony in 1881 from Petershead, Scotland, and did much travelling by Cape cart in the early days for the firm of Roberts, Tailors and Clothiers, of Aliwal.  Johnny PARK, as he was known to his many friends, controlled the Balmoral Hotel at Aliwal for many years.  He took a great interest in town affairs, occupied the chair of the Chamber of Commerce, and was Mayor of Aliwal for five years.  The funeral takes place this afternoon at 4 o'clock.

Mrs. W.H. BREMNER
Following a prolonged illness, the death took place late yesterday afternoon at her residence, 3 Bowker Street, of Mrs. W.H. BREMNER, at the ripe age of 78 years and 10 months.  Her death removes one of Queenstown's oldest residents.
Mrs. BREMNER came to Queenstown from Scotland in 1878, as a bride, and has lived in Queenstown ever since....
