gravestone in French: Rev Mother Therese of Jesus, foundress of Augustinian Sisters in Natal - died 05.11.1895 aged 64 y 11 m; after 41 y in Religious Profession. She was involved in the foundation of three Religious Houses, namely Durban Estcourt and Ladysmith.
31 October 1991 marked the centenary of the arrival in Natal of the first group of Sisters of the Canonesses Regular Hospitallers of the Mercy of Jesus, better known as the Augustinian Sisters.
